«Шут» (1987) — дебют Жозе Алвару Мораиша, съёмки которого начались вскоре после Революции 25 апреля. Из-за финансовых сложностей картину удалось завершить только десятилетие спустя. В 1987 году состоялась премьера на кинофестивале в Локарно, где «Шут» получил главную награду — «Золотого леопарда». Барочный киноязык Мораиша позволяет сочетать сложное историческое повествование, игры со временем, строгость стиля и легкость кабаре. Это фундаментальный фильм для понимания португальского кинематографа и истории. Наш показ приурочен к 49-летию Революции гвоздик.
