O Cegonha - Bando de Criação apresenta Abaeté, espetáculo que mistura teatro de marionetas e animação digital para contar uma aventura vivida pela menina Mari. A história passa-se em Salvador, na freguesia de Itapuã, onde vivem pescadores e mulheres que lavam roupa e vendem peixes nas margens da lagoa do Abaeté. É neste ambiente bucólico e mágico que sucede o mito: uma menina chamada Mari que brinca com os seus amigos animais pela lagoa e decide salvar uma onça suçuarana, para evitar a sua extinção.
