ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP
Collecting & Creating !
Initially, the workshop starts with a Principe Real garden tour. Hereby I would like to ask to you to walk around, observe and collect some natural materials, such as, leaves, tree branches, stones, things that reveal to be important to the child that will be then re-used as a base to build the sculpture. After bringing the selected material, we will start creating the art piece, combining it with other complementary materials such as wood, the child will engage in creating a 3D sculpture and build its own story. It will then be enhanced, transformed, customized, painted, and in the end, the final art piece can be taken home ! :)

Chamo-me Inês Monteiro de Barros e sou artista plástica e designer. Estudei "Theatre Design" nos Países Baixos e depois de ser mãe comecei a trabalhar, também, em outros projetos artísticos mais ligados ao serviço educativo.
Atualmente, tenho estado a desenvolver projectos para estimular a criatividade e gerar a possibilidade às crianças a trabalharem e explorarem materiais, utilizando ferramentas adequadas à tarefa, com a devida segurança.
