O espetáculo teatral “Na Boca do Tubarão”, primeira criação artística do grupo Teatro do Imigrante, leva ao palco três estórias que buscam refletir sobre questões que envolvem temas relacionados à imigração através de personagens que se encontram no limiar de condições extremas, entregues à própria sorte. “Na Boca do Tubarão” busca um olhar transversal sobre políticas anti-imigração, questões éticas em saúde pública e a crise migratória no mediterrâneo, sem abandonar a perspectiva complexa destes temas. Em cena, o Teatro do Imigrante abordará as experiências de quem busca uma nova vida num país estrangeiro; sobre relações políticas divergentes entre pai e filha; sobre as decisões éticas que médicos se deparam num hospital da rede pública ao decidir sobre vida e morte e, por fim, sobre a vivência de um grupo de refugiados à deriva no mar mediterrâneo. O espetáculo pretende construir uma narrativa que dialoga com a nossa contemporaneidade e convida os espectadores a embarcarem numa jornada repleta de contradições. Essas abordagens combinadas podem ajudar a criar um ambiente mais justo e seguro, abordando as causas fundamentais de maneira artística, lidando com as consequências da imigração moderna, além de possibilitar uma reflexão no espaço de trocas sensíveis dentro do âmbito teatral. Os artistas que participam do espetáculo, em sua maioria também imigrantes, pretendem agregar no debate sobre imigração, buscando ir além das fronteiras tradicionais que transcendem as estatísticas e políticas.
